On the slopes of Mt Canobolas, our Carillion vineyard personifies the hype for cool climate wines coming out of the Orange region and was formerly known as Jokers Peak. The key to this area is the cool to cold climate and high altitude meaning we are able to enjoy an extended growing season with plentiful sunlight hours.

Red/brown volcanic clay loams on light-medium clays provide the base for growing premium Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc in the whites, with the focus on Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz in the reds. Smaller planting have gone well in Verduzzo which is made into a single variety wine, and Viognier which we typically co-ferment with Shiraz. Buy these wines online now, Ferment the Orange Wine Centre has Orange's best wines online.
