GRAPE VARIETY: Sagrantino (8 year old vines)

WINEMAKING: The fruit was handled very carefully in the winery, with gentle hand plunging in order not to over extract tannins. The wine was then matured in a combination of new (20%) and seasoned French oak puncheons.
COLOUR: Impenetrable plum purple in colour.
AROMA: The aromas are of dark fruits, herbs, liquorice, earthiness and leather.
PALATE: A bold wine with a firm varietal and authoritative tannin structure. The flavours are of dark fruits and herbs that evolve with time in the glass.
WINE ANALYSIS: Bottled: 27/06/18 | Alc/vol: 14.7% | RS: 1.50 g/L.
ADDITIVES Made using traditional methods. Some traces of egg products may remain. Preservative 220 added.
PEAK DRINKING: Now through to 2026.
