2019 was the inaugural vintage for Byrne Farm wines in the cool climate region of Orange with the fruit being grown at approximately 900m above sea level. Every year has a unique challenge and 2019 was a much warmer than average year with ideal harvest times brought forward 2 -3 weeks. Our Chardonnay was handpicked, whole bunch pressed with the cloudy juice put to oak for fermentation and aged for 9 months.
This wine shows green apple, white peach and green melon fruits with flinty, textured notes balanced with a fresh, crisp finish.
