The 2020 Vintage was interesting to say the least, the warmest year on record in Orange, with historic bushfires and later the COVID pandemic made for a tricky year to make wine. Our Pinot Noir/ Shiraz blend was the only wine we could muster in 2020 with the blend being extremely small.
This Byrne Farm blend is a bit of homage to my 20 years working in the Hunter Valley as Shiraz / Pinot Noir is a famous local blend there, but now living in Orange, where Pinot Noir is king I’ve swapped it around to make a unique wine that is a fresh, easy drinking style.
This wine shows dark cherry and mulberry fruits, subtle spice, floral perfume with a powerful long finish.
Cellaring: Enjoy now – 5 years
