BLEND: 100% Shiraz

HARVEST: Mid March 2017
WINEMAKING: Crafted from our best Shiraz parcels, all fruit was destemmed and the must was cold soaked on skins for 4 days prior to ferment. The must was then allowed to warm and was inoculated with a Shiraz specific yeast for fermentation. Post-ferment, the parcels were drained and gently pressed off skins before being transferred directly to French Oak barrels for 12 months maturation. The barrels were racked and blended post maturation, then lightly fined and filtered for bottling.
BARRELS: 25% new oak, 75% 1-4 year old oak. 100% 300L French Oak barrels.

APPEARANCE: Deep red with purple edges
AROMA: Black currant, ripe plum fruit with lifted spice notes
PALATE: Full flavoured yet elegantly weighted – A hallmark of this exceptional vineyard. Dark red fruits combine with a hint of Chinese Five Spice with soft, fine tannins that add length and structure.
CELLAR: Up to 7 years
