Reviews & Awards
95 points  "... It's a lovely wine..." James Halliday, Wine Companion 2016
93 points  "It’s minty and meaty, both meant as positives, with loads of black pepper and black cherry flavour. A riot, but a stylish one. The colour is light-ish but the combination of fruit and bunchy complexity means it has plenty of presence, and indeed impact. We have a live one here. You have to be “up” for a good amount of whole bunch action but if you are, you’re in clover here."  Winefront, Campbell Mattinson, Oct 2015
94 points  "This wine is my first introduction to Orange Mountain and it has been a good one. The 1397 is a beaut quality shiraz you should to go looking for."  Queensland Times, Peter Chapman, Nov 2015
5 STARS  "... It has raspberry and tar scents and zips onto the palate with blackberry flavour integrated with blueberry, herb, star anise and spicy oak characters. Spearminty tannins show at the finish." Newcastle Herald, John Lewis, Dec 2015
"A decent thrust of dark cherry fruit and baked raspberry fires off the second line of attack. Nice! The finish is soft and length long. Applaud now. Cellar for up to ten. Very good." Q Wine, Nov 2015
