Blended from a solera of fortified wine barrels started in 2002. Each suitable year wine is fortified, older wine is blended and bottled and the barrels are topped with newer wine. The Frog Mouth is a rich traditional Tawny Port style wine. The wine is dense with Christmas pudding, hazelnut and ripe plums.

Cargo Cult – The Story
In 2002, after many years of flying winemaking, French born Christophe Derrez and Australian Lucy Maddox established Madrez Wine Services in Orange NSW. The aim was to provide premium winemaking and packaging services to vignerons of the region. After many years successful ghost-writing for others the pair have produced their own very limited release wines.
Cargo Cult wines are only produced from select vineyards when there is a synergy between the variety and season. The winemaking philosophy is one of good fruit, minimal intervention and traditional methods.
The name Cargo Cult comes not only from the site of the original winery near the township of Cargo but also from an expression alluding to unrealistic expectation, poking fun at the seriousness of the wine industry.
